Owner request (iPad Air 4): on a big screen the swipe-in server/channel
list and member list shouldn't take the whole screen; the chat should
stay visible next to them.

- useLayoutMode(): "phone" | "tablet" | "desktop". Tablet = the touch
  UI (everything useIsMobile gates stays on) on a >= md-wide, non-phone
  screen - an iPad in either orientation; split view below md falls
  back to phone live.
- MainLayout: on tablet the rail+list is a 330px drawer (its own
  open/closed state, independent of the room selection) beside the
  chat; px-based drag/rest instead of the phone's 200%-row percent.
  Opens on space switch / no active view; closes on any explicit room
  pick (uiStore.roomPickSeq, so re-tapping the selected room works),
  a Home view, a left swipe, or a tap on the dimmed chat.
- ChatArea: the member list is a 240px drawer the same way.
- Phone behaviour untouched (same code path, percent transforms).

Verified in Chromium iPad emulation (820x1180, coarse pointer, iPad
UA) against the live server: every open/close path lands on the
expected transform, and narrowing to 390px falls back to the phone
layout. Not yet on a real iPad.
